Black Knights FC is an independent, informal adult recreational soccer team. Our members come together to play soccer while balancing work, college, and everyday adult responsibilities.
Team status
“FC” is part of our team name. Black Knights FC is not a professional football or soccer club, incorporated business, registered nonprofit, tax-exempt charity, school, college, or governing body for the sport. We do not claim affiliation with FIFA, U.S. Soccer, Major League Soccer, or another professional organization unless a specific affiliation is expressly identified.
Participation
Participation in team activities is voluntary. Soccer involves inherent risks of collision, falls, physical exertion, weather exposure, and injury. Each participant is responsible for deciding whether they are physically able to participate, following applicable league and venue rules, using appropriate equipment, and maintaining any health or accident insurance they consider necessary.
Website use
This website is used for team information, communication, recruiting, and event announcements. Its content is not medical, legal, safety, or professional advice and does not create an employment, agency, partnership, fiduciary, or professional relationship. Leagues, venues, sponsors, and linked third parties remain separate organizations responsible for their own services, rules, and content.
Legal limits
This page explains the team's informal recreational status; it is not a liability waiver and does not itself create legal immunity. Nothing here waives a right or claim that cannot legally be waived or excuses gross negligence, recklessness, willful or intentional misconduct, or a violation of law. Event-specific risk notices, league rules, and properly signed consent forms apply separately where required.
